Enhancing awareness of your trees’ health

Holistic Tree Care believes in the inter-connectedness of life where the parts are not separate from the whole. That’s why we take a holistic approach to tree care and take pride in educating our clients about their trees and the total environment connected to them.

To us, trees are the lungs of our planet, and vitally important to our well being. So as you approach the need for tree care, we invite you to think about your trees in terms of the inter-connectedness of all life while also expecting excellent service from us.

Our client relationship begins with an initial site visit and consultation to determine the health of your trees and the best plan for maintaining the value they bring to your life, and beauty to your surroundings.

We seek to educate our clients about why good tree care is important and what actions are necessary, timely, and important toward the longevity of the tree’s life.

As you compare tree care services please consider the value that well-maintained, healthy trees bring to your home, neighborhood and community.

Our happiest clients are not those whose only concern is cost and on & off services, but rather those who value a holistic approach and are open to learning about what will bring long-term health, growth, and beauty to each tree and the environment in which it stands.

Chuck’s passion for trees

Chuck Ranson is the owner of Holistic Tree Care, Inc. and has been a Certified Arborist with The International Society of Arboriculture (www.isa-arbor.com) since 2000. In addition to his ISA certification, he is also Texas Oak Wilt Certified.

He has worked professionally with the land and trees for over 28 years. Chuck’s approach to trees is different – he truly looks at trees and sees them for their beauty, power and longevity, rather than as just another specimen on a piece of land.

“My passion for trees had been a lifelong journey beginning as a young boy eager to climb trees,” Chuck said recently. “The land is in my blood.”

Previous generations of his family settled in the late 1800’s in Rockwall and were pioneer farmers until the depression moved them off of full-time farming. Yet the family kept some land where he would go to walk, play and fish in the ponds. Then, as an adolescent Chuck learned to hoe cotton and drive tractors on other family farms in the Panhandle.

Years later he became involved in organic practices – long before most people knew what they were. So, as his story reflects, a connection to the land has been a continuous thread woven throughout his life.

While Chuck did spend several years enjoying success in the world of business, his journey led him back to the land working with several of the most prestigious landscape and tree care companies in North Texas.

Then in 2005, Chuck began Holistic Tree Care to satisfy his appreciation for the place & function that trees play in the overall scheme of things. He feels a responsibility to use his skills, knowledge and love to assist them. Chuck also believes that being a small business allows him to focus on providing personal, one-on-one connection and a high level of customer service, values that are at the root of his mission.

Working with Chuck you get the full benefit of his many years as a Certified Arborist, and you not only get his complete appreciation for trees, but his dedication to treat them with expert, loving care.

In the end, for Chuck, the greatest personal benefit is that when he is around them he feels a sense of peace, reverence and gratitude.

The International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) has served the tree care industry for more than 80 years as a scientific and educational organization. Through research, technology, and education, the International Society of Arboriculture (the planting and care of woody plants, especially trees) promotes the professional practice of arboriculture and fosters a greater worldwide awareness of the benefits of trees.  (www.isa-arbor.com)
